How successful writers FINISH books quickly . . .
Even if you have limited time;
even if you always get stuck in the middle;
and especially if you stress about QUALITY!
The Truly Successful Writer
unlocks the secret key to finish well-written drafts of full-length novels FAST!
Before:
I've been telling stories for as long as Ican remember, but when I sat down to write them out, nothing came. It was like the blank page erased my ideas!
Then I took a bunch of writing classes (to earn my degree) and learned how to turn my fuzzy mind movies into words that others understood. I felt like a writer!
BUT SOMETHING WAS STILL MISSING!
I'd have a great idea.
I'd sit down to write.
I might even craft a beautiful scene.
But then I'd get stuck.
After a few years, I'd earned a SECOND English degree and had a folder full of STARTED books.
But I'd still never finished a single one!
The embarrassment and shame I felt every time someone asked, "How's writing going?" exceeded my linguistic ability.
How could I have so much training, education, and experience, but still fail to finish a book? I was so frustrated!
It wasn't supposed to be this hard!!
Now:
Since 2019, I've drafted more than 50 novels.
In 2024, I wrote and published 4 full-length books and a 10,000-word short story.
Are you snorting and thinking these books must be garbage?
Ten years ago, I'd have been right there with you!
–But–
My bank account suggests that readers are loving my books.
My pre-orders show they want more of my novels.
My ratings and reviews reveal readers who appreciate my writing.
What changed?
My freelance writing of short texts was doing a lot to supplement my meager teaching salary, but the allure of bigger income and more fun projects called me toward ghostwriting.
Eventually, I found work writing historical romances that were 80,000 words each, but there was a catch. (Isn't there always?)
I was expected to draft each novel in just 4 weeks!
Talk about being thrown into the deep end to learn how to swim.
The thing is, I wasn't earning "pocket money" with this writing; I was paying our electric bill. Out of desperation, I turned my drafting into something of a game and started focusing on a single writing skill for each chunk of my draft.
It revolutionized my writing mindset, practice, and product.
Suddenly, I was WRITING BETTER WHILE WRITING FASTER!
I like having full ownership of my work, creative freedom, and control over my author brand and career, so I publish my novels myself.
But even if your goal is to get a deal with a traditional publishing house, or earn quick income as a ghostwriter, this will work for you, too.
Not only did I use it as a ghostwriter and while launching my own indie author career, I tested it with many other adult authors, too.
It was crazy to see every writer succeed when they implemented this process!!
Now, I'm excited to share every detail with you.
It’s just $9 on this page.
Inside, I’ll show you how I developed this method, a week-by-week guide to use it in your own writing, and tips and tricks to make it work even better.
For a limited time, I’m also throwing in a few extra resources (FREE!!) to help you bring this method into your own writing practice, no matter your writing goal or experience.
Thanks to this method, my dream of being an author is a reality. I'm still using it to achieve more success, faster, too!
This method has made so many others' writing dreams become their reality too.
Like Patricia, who finally returned to writing and completed her novel after experiencing a devastating family tragedy.
She came to me saying she'd lost her spark and couldn't get past her writer's block. When we shifted her approach and started pairing specific writing skills with specific phases of her drafting, her writing flowed again!
In just 10 weeks, she went from stuck and frustrated to polishing her draft to prepare it for publication.
Autumn Rose is another writer to came to me in the summer of 2024 looking for help finishing her book. She had an idea for an entire series, but no matter how many times she tried, she couldn't finish a draft to get that first book out into the world.
Not only did she use my method to finish Song of the Siren, she's using it to write the next book in the series as well!
With book 1 published and book 2 already up for pre-order, her dreams are quickly becoming reality.
No matter what level of experience these dreamers had, they became writers with FINISHED first drafts!
And don't think that it only works for "shorter" books, either. One author, who hasn't chosen her pen name yet, tried out this method because she struggled to stay focused, accountable, and organized enough to finish long-term projects.
In about 10 weeks, she wrote an 80,000-word complete novel and is now polishing it for publication.
This is already turning dreamers into successful writers who go on to self-publish, query agents to traditionally publish, and earn money ghostwriting for others.
Ready to see what this method could do for you too?
The Truly Successful Writer shares how to quickly finish your novels while consistently improving your writing skills.
It sounds simple because it is.
When we break down the writing process into actionable steps with achievable goals, we set ourselves up for success.
The Truly Successful Writer sequences those steps while pairing them with an intentional focus on developing specific writing skills
appropriate for that stage of drafting.
I know this method will make the process of completing your draft as exciting as celebrating the finished product, which means you'll be writing . . .
THE END
. . . before you know it!
If you've ever seen a standard breakdown of "How to Write a Novel," you know it usually suggests one of two things:
Option A will tell you that you must dedicate one hour to writing every day. It will try to convince you that making time and sitting in front of a keyboard is all it takes to finish your book.
Option B will tell you that you must write a certain number of words every day. It will try to convince you that putting the right number of words onto the page or screen is all it takes to finish your book.
They both rely on you following the same routine and achieving the same "goal" every day.
Suddenly, we've turned our passion for writing into the world's most monotonous and boring daily chore known to mankind!
No wonder so many of us fail when taking that approach.
If I wrote 1000 words yesterday, but only hit 800 today, I just failed.
If my son misses the bus, and I have to give him a ride to school instead of spending an hour writing, I just failed.
Instead, imagine that your goal is write the best conversational banter you can this week while completing the next three waypoints, beats, or scenes of your book. If you're a numbers person, maybe your goal is to write the best conversational banter while adding 9,000 words to your story.
Suddenly, you're looking for opportunities to have characters argue, flirt, or collaborate. Instead of staring at a timer or word-count tracker, you're asking yourself if you really need that extra dialog tag and challenging yourself to craft an accent respectfully.
It no longer matters if your schedule is as irregular as a toddler's nap time.
By changing the focus from the drudgery of doing the same thing day-after-day to the excitement of improving a specific skill, your writing sessions become purpose-driven instead of product-driven.
The Truly Successful Writer shows you, step-by-step, how to plan to write your draft this way, even if you're a discovery writer. Then it guides you through WHICH writing skills to focus on when writing each part of your draft.
This entire process is designed around the basic premise that you want to write a fiction novel. It is not designed for nonfiction.
You will need to spend an average of about 8-10 hours per week writing. That could be writing 4 hours on both Saturday and Sunday, writing 2 hours Monday-Friday, or changing it up every week. (There is no magical wand to write a book without putting in the time.)
If you have never taken a writing class, I HIGHLY recommend picking up the Dreamer to Writer course to go with this book. I don't include it because SO many people have already taken a bazillion writing courses, but you'll want some kind of writing skills resource to pair with this book.

You might be thinking that the quality of your writing will suffer if you don't spend months or years carefully crafting every single sentence, but spending that much time on your book can actually HURT the quality of your writing.
The difference between writing something short and completing a full-length novel is NOT just in the number of words you have to write. A full novel comes with added continuity challenges. The longer you spend on your story, the more errors you'll introduce.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't care about your craft and language, though!
The best writers know that we can focus on strengthening individual writing skills while drafting our complete novel.
When we develop our skills while telling a complete story, we end up with a book that we can proudly say we used to demonstrate our new ability to do a specific, fancy writing thing.
Combining our writing craft education with our writing business and project growth is the key to unlocking the success that we dream about.
That’s why I’m so excited to be sharing this offer with you today!

I’m Maria! I’ve spent my entire adult life working with writers of all ages and have written and published everything from a blog article titled “Does Dr. Pepper have Laxatives in It?” to my romantic suspense novels, like my Taylor Industries series, that earn consistent royalties month-after-month.
After almost twenty years, I’ve experienced burnout bad enough I thought I’d never write again, and I’ve lived that rejuvenating experience of returning to the craft I love. I’ve used writing for income, therapy, communication, mourning, and celebration.
Along the way, I’ve learned that “success” as an writer requires balancing financial goals with maintaining a love and passion for writing. By restructuring my writing process, I’ve increased both my income and my joy!
I love hiking the Appalachian Trail, prefer mountains over beaches, and believe that stories are the core of our culture.
